The Department of is deeply saddened to note the passing of Kevin Douglas Ashman, 65, who passed away after a short battle with cancer. Kevin served as the account manager with our department for 36 years and was an integral member of our community.
As our account manager, Kevin supported staff and faculty alike with managing essential daily business. He played an important role in preparing research proposals by ensuring they were submitted in a timely manner and with accurate budgets. Kevin’s office was always filled with music – his love of opera, classical, and musical theatre tunes was contagious. Though a quiet person, he shared with each of us his dry sense of humor and unmatched contributions to lunch-time crossword puzzles. Kevin was a dear friend and colleague and will be sorely missed.
