Dr. Madhur Srivastava has been awarded the Avangrid Faculty Fellowship for his project on Subscription-based Electricity Pricing. Dr. Srivastava, with support from Avangrid, the parent company of NYSEG, will analyze local electricity usage data and develop a subscription-based electricity pricing model. The purpose of this project is to help moderate electricity prices for neighborhoods throughout the Northeast, mitigate the likelihood of blackouts, encourage a shift to green energy usage, and reduce unnecessary infrastructure upgrades.
