Aye Lab Recognized by an ONR Young Investigator Award

February 22, 2017

Congratulations to Prof. Yimon Aye, who has recently received a 2017 ONR Young Investigator Award! The Office of Naval Research (ONR) Young Investigator Program (YIP) identifies and supports academic scientists and engineers who show exceptional promise for doing creative research. The program's objectives are to attract outstanding faculty members from Institutions of Higher Education to the Department of Navy's research program, support their research, and encourage their teaching and research careers. As covered in the Cornell Chronicle this week (http://www.news.cornell.edu/stories/2017/02/aye-shepherd-win-young-investigator-awards-navy), Aye is among the 33 scientists who have been selected to receive a 2017 YIP grant from 360 applicants nationwide (the full list of awardees can be found at https://www.onr.navy.mil/Science-Technology/Directorates/office-research-discovery-invention/Sponsored-Research/YIP/2017-young-investigators).
