Dr. Richard Kong Receives 2022 Dalton Emerging Researcher Award

Dr. Richard Kong, a Klarman fellow in the Lancaster Group, was recently named winner of the prestigious 2022 Dalton Emerging Researcher Award by the Royal Society of Chemistry. This award is offered annually to an inorganic research chemist within two years of completion of their PhD; awardees are given the chance to complete a UK lecture tour. Dr. Kong received the award "for the development of and mechanistic insight into novel bond-breaking and bond-making methods using main-group reagents." Dr. Kong's work generally focuses on breaking and making chemical bonds using metals.
