Will Dichtel wins Beckman Award and Cope Scholar Award
Will Dichtel has been selected for a Young Investigator Award for 2012 from the Arnold and Mabel Beckman Foundation. The Beckman Young Investigator (BYI) Program is intended to provide research support to the most promising young faculty members in the early stages of academic careers in the chemical and life sciences, particularly to foster the invention of methods, instruments and materials that will open up new avenues of research in science.
Will Dichtel will also receive an ACS Arthur C Cope Scholar Award. These awards recognize and encourage excellence in organic chemistry, and two of these annual awards are specifically reserved for outstanding scientists, like Will, under the age of 35. Will and other awardees will speak in the Cope Symposium at the ACS 2013 spring meeting.
