The Coates Group Reports New Type of Eco-Friendly Plastic

Research from the Coates group has been featured in an article entitled The 'Hidden' Chemistry in Everyday Life in Discover Magazine (#9 of 12 in the slideshow at http://discovermagazine.com/galleries/2016/chemistry). This article highlights a recent discovery in the Coates group in which limonene, a carbon-based compound found in orange peels, and carbon dioxide, a greenhouse gas, are combined to form a new type of eco-friendly plastic.
